Lydia Stutzman

Lydia views Owen J Roberts as the heart of our community and strongly believes in the power of education on an individual and society. She is the product of public education and moved to our area in the early ‘90s specifically because of the school district and parks.

Lydia has a 15 year old son, a 14 year old daughter and has been married to her husband for 20 years. She is the co-founder of the Owen J Roberts Mountain Bike Team, the co-founder of a local trail conservation non-profit, and has a 25+ year career in Human Resources, where she has led large teams, global initiatives, and partners with executives on people and business strategies.

She believes that education is one of the most important factors in a strong, stable, innovative, healthy, and equitable community. She also believes that it takes a strong and balanced curriculum, with resourced and empowered educators to build workforce and college ready young adults.

She doesn’t have an agenda with OJR, but believes it could further benefit from a collaborative set of Directors who weigh issues with all stakeholders in mind.

Her profession requires her to bring diverse points of view together to solve complex problems in a collaborative manner. She’s confident she can bring her strengths and experiences (as an active member of the community, a parent, an executive, collaborator and team builder) to represent our kids, parents and our educators in furthering our future.
