Raised by a Pennsylvania farming family, Jennifer Munson has been living in West Vincent Township for the past eight years. She has two children, attending Owen J. Roberts High School and West Vincent Elementary.
Jennifer’s full-time career is in the area of IT working primarily for Fortune 500 corporations. With over 20 years in the field, Jennifer has gained a reputation as a problem solver, leader, tough negotiator and consensus builder.
In her current role as a Software Asset Manager, Jennifer takes complex software licensing situations with legal and business implications and untangles them into clear plans for resolving gaps with minimal financial impact. She leads an international team with resources in India, Europe, and the US. She regularly negotiates with large companies like Oracle, VMware, and Red Hat, using smart and creative strategies to enable her own organization’s ability to be transparent while complying with licensing terms.
On the local level, Jennifer has been a member of the West Vincent Sustainability Committee since 2017 and served as Chair in 2018 and 2019. In 2018, the Sustainability Committee met several investigative and educational goals but spent less than 1% of their budget, showing Jennifer’s commitment to minimizing unnecessary government spending.
In her spare time, Jennifer loves hiking and camping with her family and their lab-mix, Kiki. She enjoys sewing and the fiber arts. She also runs the Conversational Spanish club at the Henrietta Hankin Library.
